HARD ANODIZING COATING

Hard anodizing is the process of hardening aluminium through natural oxidation. During this process, a film layer of 20-110µm forms. At these values, it helps to remedy wear or dimensional errors and to salvage parts. Hard anodizing coating also eliminates softness – aluminium’s biggest disadvantage – thanks to this hard film layer. In coatings applied to alloyed aluminium, 4/2 of the coating’s value penetrates into the material while the remaining 4/2 forms on the surface. It is distributed evenly across the whole surface; a variation of ±2-5µm on the surface is possible. Hard anodizing coating is applied in the Aerospace, Defence and Military, Textile, Mining/Petroleum, Medical and Surgical, Printing, Paper, Automotive, Food and Confectionery industries.
